Die letzen Hikone Bilder:
Last Hikone Pictures:

This is the garden of the museum where we watched a Noh-Play two hours later.

Das ist ein Foto aus dem Garten des Museums.
Dann die Bühne, auf der das Theaterstück aufgeführt wurde.

This is the Stage for the Noh-play. It is rebuild like the one from the castle.
A Noh is a traditional set of plays very much different from western theatre. Normally there are only two to three charcters who appear during the play. Then there are two persons playing a small drum one person with a flute and a choir of eight. All men, they play women too. It is very strange, and even if you understand Japanese, you do not necessary understand the words the actors are saying, because they talk in the language of the 8th century when the Noh was invented. Noh is a very sad play therefore a Kyogen a comedy is played too, so you do not go home in a sad mood. But so much for Noh-Play, you have to see one for I can not quite explain the images and moods that were created.
Now one picture of a Katana a Japanese sword from the Museum. This one is 600 years old but you can not see the age when you look at the edge. We did not take the picture ourselves, it is from the museumshomepage.

Jetzt kommt eins von einem der Schwerter, haben wir nicht selber aufgenommen, sondern von der Museumshomepage. Man sieht dem Ding nicht an, dass es schon 600 Jahre auf dem Buckel hat. Erstaunlich.
