Hallo Schwester....

Heute waren wir in Kyoto, zum zweiten Mal, aber die Bilder und Geschichten gibts erst nächste Woche. Erstmal weiter, zu dem was wir in Hikone gemacht haben.
We spend today in Kyoto but for the pictures and stories you will have to wait till next week. This pictures are still from Hikone.

On the way from Lake Biwa to the castle was a Shintu shrine which we just stepped into.
This time we visited the shrine the way Japanese people do it. First wash your hands then step up to the shrine and bow twice, throw a coin into the wooden box, clap your hands twice and bow again.
On the pictures you can see on of the Statues symbolizing some spirits. We took the picture because this one carries a sword and it looks cool.



Auf dem Bild seht ihr eine Statue des Shintuschreins der auf dem Weg vom See zur Burg liegt. Die Statue symbilisiert einen "Geist", wir fanden sie deshalb interessant, weil sie ein Schwert trägt.

Let's finish today's post with a picture of Hikone Castle. It is located on a hill overlooking the lake. It is one of the few castle buildings which survived the centuries without much damage and reconstruction. (one out of 3 or 4)



Den heutigen Beitrag beende ich mit einem Foto der Burg von Hikone. Diese liegt auf einem Hügel von dem man einem herrlichen Blick auf den See hat. Es ist auch eine der wenigen noch original erhaltenen Burgen in Japan. (Ich glaube eine von 3 oder 4).
